Job Opening: Veteran’s Service Officer of Jefferson County. Resumes for the position will be accepted through April 13 2017. This is a full-time position and includes county benefits. Candidates must be an honorably discharged veteran from any branch of service, proficient using MS Office products, hold a valid driver’s license, and must provide verifiable experience in organizational, managerial, and communication skills. Candidate must be a resident of Jefferson County, and if selected, must be ready to start work in one (1) week. The successful candidate must attain a Veteran’s Service Officer (VSO) certification within six (6) months of being hired and must be willing to attend mandatory annual Veteran’s Administration (VA) training.
