State Route 92 Bridge Closure

Business Licenses

Effective, January 1, 2010, payment of all Business Tax will be made to the Tennessee Department of Revenue. Those wishing to obtain a business license will still make initial applications through the Jefferson County Clerk.

Jefferson County Receives TDOT Litter Grant Again

As part of the effort to Stop Litter in Tennessee, Governor Bredesen and TDOT Commissioner Gerald Nicely announced the awarding of $3.8 million in litter grants to all 95 Tennessee Counties. Jefferson County received $35,242.00.

Commission Meeting Broadcast Schedule

Tune in to Charter Channel 7 to see tape-delayed episodes of County Commission meetings. Meetings will be broadcast every weekday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for 2 weeks following the meeting. After 2 weeks they will air on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. until they are replaced by a new meeting.
