The primary mission focus of the Archives is to restore and preserve the historical documents. Secondly our mission is to assist visitors to the county in search of their family heritage, and to be available to the county officials who need research accomplished.

Public Records

Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 10-7-503(g), the following Public Records Policy for Jefferson County is hereby adopted by Jefferson County Board of Mayor and County Commissioners to provide economical and efficient access to public records as provided under the Tennessee Public Records Act (“TPRA”) in Tenn. Code Ann. § 10-7-501, et seq.

 

The following forms have been provided, in order to assist in the request for Public Records from Jefferson County Government.
