Invitation to Bid|

The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for Bread, Coffee, Food, Water and Milk for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

For specifications, you may contact Jessica Elder at JElder@JeffersonCountyTN.gov or Jefferson County’s website, jeffersoncountytn.gov, under Finance Department.

Sealed bids should be labeled “Food Bid” and either mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Finance Director Jessica Elder, at P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN, 37725, or dropped off at 1244 Gay St., Dandridge, TN, 37725.  Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department conference room.  Oral, email, and telephone bids will not be accepted

Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive and all irregularities in the receipt/handling of bids.  The awarded bidder must be in good standing with the county of Jefferson.

Jefferson County assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.I. 100.259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal Financial Assistance from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

 

BID INSTRUCTIONS

FOOD BID SPECS:  for up and coming fiscal year:  (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) BREAD, COFFEE, DAIRY, FOOD, & WATER

  1. Fixed pricing for contract year: (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) – However, if pricing could change because of the market, please specify on bid worksheet.
  2. Pack size listed on bid worksheet could vary. If pack size is different, note the pack size your company stocks.
  3. Sheriff Coffey and the County’s Finance Director, Jessica Elder, reserve the right to terminate a contract after the bid “contract” has been awarded for the new fiscal year. (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023)
  4. Sheriff Coffey and the County’s Finance Director can terminate a contract at any time during the fiscal year.
  5. Nearing the end of the county’s fiscal year, Sheriff Coffey reserves the right to extend the “awarded bid” one or two additional years.
  6. These are separate bids. You may submit one bid or up to a total of five bids.

 

BREAD, COFFEE, DAIRY, FOOD, AND WATER BID SPECS: 

For: Up and coming fiscal year:  (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) BREAD, COFFEE, DAIRY, FOOD, & Water

  2. Pack size listed on bid worksheet should be quoted on bid. If pack size is different, note the pack size your company stocks.
  3. Nearing the end of the county’s fiscal year, Sheriff Coffey reserves the right to extend the “awarded bid” one or two additional years.
  4. Bread, Coffee, Dairy, Food, and Water are separate bids. You may submit one bid or up to a total of five individual bids.
  5. Delivery of food product needs to be between 4:30am and 5:30am.
