The Jefferson County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for Bread, Coffee, Food, Water and Milk for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
For specifications, you may contact Jessica Elder at JElder@JeffersonCountyTN.gov or Jefferson County’s website, jeffersoncountytn.gov, under Finance Department.
Sealed bids should be labeled “Food Bid” and either mailed to the Jefferson County Finance Department to the attention of Finance Director Jessica Elder, at P.O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN, 37725, or dropped off at 1244 Gay St., Dandridge, TN, 37725. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at which time bids will be opened in the Finance Department conference room. Oral, email, and telephone bids will not be accepted
Jefferson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive and all irregularities in the receipt/handling of bids. The awarded bidder must be in good standing with the county of Jefferson.
Jefferson County assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.I. 100.259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal Financial Assistance from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

7th District County Commissioner
The Jefferson County Commission will fill a vacancy in the Office of County Commissioner for the 7th District of Jefferson County, Tennessee at their regular scheduled meeting on April 21, 2025 to begin at 6:30P.M. Anyone interested in filling this vacancy must:
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. Be a resident and qualified voter of the 7th District.
3. Have not been convicted of offering or giving a bribe, of larceny, or any other offense declared infamous by law, or otherwise disqualified from holding office.
4. Have not defaulted the treasury at the time of appointment.
5. Not currently be a Soldier, Seaman, Marine, or Airman in the regular United States Army, Navy, or Air Force.
6. Not currently be a member of Congress or hold any office of profit or trust under any foreign power, other state of the Union, or the United States.
7. Be nominated by a Jefferson County Commissioner.
8. Be present at the meeting on April 21, 2025 or have submitted a letter of acceptance to the County Commission prior to the meeting if appointed.

Due to inclement weather, all Jefferson County Tennessee offices will be closed Thursday, February 20, 2025.
County offices will open on a 2 hour delay Friday, February 21, 2025, with the exception of the Justice Center will will be closed and courts cancelled.

County Offices will be open for regular hours on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. However, some services may be limited due to utility disruptions.
